Obrambena arhitektura u Omišu i na srednjem Jadranu od Kačića do novog vijeka, dr. sc. Vanja Kovačić
U sklopu fortifikacija grada Omiša ističe se gradski kaštel, dominantna srednjovjekovna utvrda i podgrađe opasano renesansnim i baroknim zidinama. Moć Kačića se prvenstveno odražava kroz njihovu pomorsku orijentaciju i kontrolu plovnog puta pa ćemo kroz virtualni obilazak luka i otočkih naselja srednjeg Jadrana svjedočit o tipologiji i specifičnim oblicima obrambene arhitekture u ranim stoljećima mletačke uprave.

Defensive architecture in Omiš and middle Adriatic from the Kačić era to Modern age, Ph. D. Vanja Kovačić
As part of the fortifications of the city of Omiš, the city castle stands out as a dominant medieval fortress with its substructure enclosed by Renaissance and Baroque walls. As the power of the Kačić dynasty is primarily reflected in their naval dominance of the waterways, this virtual tour of the ports and island settlements of the middle Adriatic testifies to the typology and specific forms of defensive architecture in the early centuries of the Venetian rule.
