Trilj, Archaeological site and Nutjak Fortress

As part of the Night of the Fortress event, the Museum of the Trilj Region offers free expert guidance on the site, accompanied by Žarko Dražojević and wife Katarina Martinušević, which will be organized by students from the Elementary School schools Trilj. The leadership will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2022, at 17:00 h.

Nutjak Fortress was built on a cliff above the canyon of the river Cetina near Trilj draws your attention to the imposing remains of architecture and attractive location. It was built in the late 15th century for defense northern Poljica from the Ottomans, and its builder is the famous prince of Poljica Žarko Dražojević. Over time, Nutjak Fortress became an inspiration local myths and legends, and the subject of interest of historians, archaeologists and researchers. Today, the cultural property is permanently protected Of the Republic of Croatia.
