Tvrđava Nehaj u Senju ove se godine ponovno pridružuje međunarodnoj manifestaciji Night of Fortresses Goes Green, koja promovira održivi turizam i očuvanje kulturne baštine. U petak, 9. svibnja 2025., posjetiteljima će biti omogućeno besplatno razgledavanje stalnog postava tvrđave i gostujuće izložbe na drugom katu, od 16 do 22 sata. Sudjelovanje tvrđave Nehaj u ovoj manifestaciji naglašava važnost odgovornog upravljanja kulturnim lokalitetima. Otvaranjem vrata javnosti i omogućavanjem besplatnog pristupa, potiče se edukacija posjetitelja o povijesti i značaju kulturne baštine te se povećava svijest o potrebi njezinog očuvanja. Održivi turizam podrazumijeva korištenje postojećih resursa na način koji ne ugrožava njihovu budućnost. Programi poput ovog doprinose ravnomjernoj raspodjeli turističkih tokova i u predsezoni te, promoviraju održivo korištenje kulturnih lokaliteta i smanjuju ekološki otisak kroz valorizaciju povijesnih prostora bez potrebe za dodatnim infrastrukturnim zahvatima.

This year, the Fortress Nehaj in Senj once again joins the international event Night of Fortresses Goes Green, which promotes sustainable tourism and the preservation of cultural heritage. On Friday, May 9, 2025, visitors will be able to view the permanent exhibition of the fortress and the guest exhibition on the second floor for free, from 4 to 10 p.m. The participation of the Fortress Nehaj in this event emphasizes the importance of responsible management of cultural sites. By opening the doors to the public and providing free access, visitors are encouraged to be educated about the history and significance of cultural heritage, and awareness of the need to preserve it is increased. Sustainable tourism implies the use of existing resources in a way that does not endanger their future. Programs like this contribute to the even distribution of tourist flows in the pre-season as well, promote the sustainable use of cultural sites and reduce the ecological footprint through the valorization of historical spaces without the need for additional infrastructural interventions.
