Grad Pula – Pola se po prvi put priključuje manifestaciji Night of Fortresses Goes Green, kojom se promovira održivi turizam, kulturna baština i ponovno otkrivanje povijesnih lokaliteta. Tri pulske utvrde – Kaštel, Fort Bourguignon i Fort Casoni Vecchi – 9. svibnja otvaraju svoja vrata građanima i posjetiteljima uz raznolik i tematski usmjeren program, koji ujedno obilježava i Dan Europe.
Fort Bourguignon ujutro će ugostiti predškolsku djecu kroz zabavno-edukativni program na temu održivosti – uključujući predstavu Recikloman, sportsku eko-štafetu i šetnju oko tvrđave. U poslijepodnevnim satima slijede kreativne radionice izrade hotela za kukce i oslikavanja višekratnih vrećica za sve generacije, dok će tijekom cijelog dana biti izloženi radovi učenika Škole primijenjenih umjetnosti i dizajna na temu pulskih utvrda.
Fort Casoni Vecchi će tijekom dana biti otvoren za slobodno razgledavanje, a u poslijepodnevnim satima održat će se radionica oslikavanja second-hand namještaja, čime se potiče održiva praksa ponovne upotrebe. Večer će završiti punk koncertom u autentičnom ambijentu tvrđave.
Kaštel, kao središnja povijesna lokacija, nudi bogat program koji uključuje vođene ture, predavanja i mogućnost posjeta Fort centru, čiji je cilj upoznavanje posjetitelja s fortifikacijskim sustavom grada Pule.
Ovogodišnje izdanje manifestacije stavlja poseban naglasak na podizanje svijesti o ekološkim praksama, poticanje aktivnog sudjelovanja u zaštiti okoliša te isticanje kulturnog naslijeđa kao ključnog elementa održivog razvoja. Kroz raznolike sadržaje, program u Puli povezuje kulturnu baštinu i održivost, otvarajući prostor za edukaciju, kreativnost i odgovorno djelovanje.

The City of Pula is joining the Night of Fortresses Goes Green for the first time – an initiative that promotes sustainable tourism, cultural heritage, and the rediscovery of historical sites. On May 9th, three of Pula’s fortresses – Fort Kaštel, Fort Bourguignon, and Fort Casoni Vecchi – will open their doors to citizens and visitors with a diverse and thematically focused programme, which also marks Europe Day.
Fort Bourguignon will host preschool children in the morning with a fun and educational programme focused on sustainability – including the play Recikloman, an eco-themed relay race, and a walk around the fortress. In the afternoon, creative workshops for all generations will take place, including making insect hotels and painting reusable bags. Throughout the day, visitors can also enjoy an exhibition of student works from the School of Applied Arts and Design, inspired by the fortresses of Pula.
Fort Casoni Vecchi will be open for free exploration during the day, and in the afternoon will offer a workshop on painting second-hand furniture – promoting sustainable reuse practices. The day will end with a punk concert in the authentic setting of the fortress.
Fort Kaštel, as the central historical site, will offer a rich programme including guided tours, lectures, and access to the Fort Centre, aimed at familiarising visitors with Pula’s fortification system.
This year’s edition of the event places a special emphasis on raising awareness about ecological practices, encouraging active participation in environmental protection, and highlighting cultural heritage as a key element of sustainable development. Through a diverse programme, the event in Pula connects cultural heritage and sustainability, creating space for education, creativity, and responsible engagement.
The detailed programme will be announced by mid-April.
