U okviru manifestacije „Noć tvrđava – Night of Fortresses Goes Green“, tvrđava Besac biće uključena u program kroz aktivnost koja povezuje kulturno nasljeđe, održivi turizam i autentičan doživljaj prostora.
Besac Heritage Retreat & Restaurant tokom 8. i 9. maja 2026. godine otvara vrata tvrđave Besac svim posjetiocima, pri čemu se organizuju obilasci tvrđave uz stručno vođenje.
📍 Smještena na izuzetnoj lokaciji iznad Virpazara, tvrđava Besac predstavlja jedinstven vidikovac sa kojeg se pruža pogled na Skadarsko jezero i crmnički kraj, dok njena očuvana arhitektura svjedoči o bogatoj istoriji ovog prostora.

Utvrđenje, izgrađeno od kamena i prilagođeno konfiguraciji terena, čine kule, bedemi, kasarna i osmatračnice, koje su danas obnovljene i sačuvane u autentičnom obliku zahvaljujući sredstvima Evropske unije.
Danas Besac predstavlja vinsku kapiju Crmnice, gdje se kroz rad objekta njeguje tradicija vinogradarstva i promovišu autohtone sorte, posebno vranac, kroz pažljivo osmišljenu ponudu domaćih vina i gastronomskih doživljaja.

As part of the event “Night of Fortresses – Night of Fortresses Goes Green”, Besac Fortress will be included in the programme through an activity that connects cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, and an authentic experience of the site.
Besac Heritage Retreat & Restaurant will open the gates of Besac Fortress to all visitors on 8 and 9 May 2026, offering guided tours of the fortress led by professional guides.
📍 Located in a remarkable position above Virpazar, Besac Fortress is a unique viewpoint overlooking Lake Skadar and the Crmnica region, while its preserved architecture reflects the rich history of this area.

The fortification, built of stone and adapted to the terrain, consists of towers, ramparts, a barracks, and watchtowers, all of which have been restored and preserved in their authentic form thanks to European Union funding.
Today, Besac represents the wine gateway of Crmnica, where the tradition of viticulture is nurtured and indigenous grape varieties—especially Vranac—are promoted through a carefully curated selection of local wines and gastronomic experiences.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a combination of history, nature, and local wine culture—an important element of the area’s intangible heritage—through both self-guided and guided tours of the fortress.
