Grad Korčula i ove će se godine pridružiti manifestaciji Noć tvrđava – Night of Fortresses Goes Green, koja povezuje kulturnu baštinu, održivi turizam i podizanje svijesti o važnosti očuvanja fortifikacijske baštine. Dvodnevni program će se održati u povijesnoj jezgri grada Korčule, gdje će posjetitelji imati priliku upoznati bogatu povijest obrambenog sustava grada kroz različite kulturne i edukativne sadržaje.
U sklopu programa bit će prikaz videofilma u kuli Revelin koji će posjetiteljima približiti povijest grada i kulturnih tradicija. Program će također uključivati dane otvorenih vrata na nekoliko kulturnih lokacija, uključujući Gradski muzej Korčula, gradske kule i Interpretacijski centar Marco Polo, čime će se poticati edukacija i podizanje svijesti o značaju očuvanja kulturne baštine te promovirati održivo korištenje postojećih kulturnih resursa.
U Gradskom muzeju bit će postavljena prigodna izložba posvećena fortifikacijskoj baštini, dok će fotografije povezane s temom biti izložene na platnima postavljenima duž ulica starog grada, stvarajući jedinstveni izložbeni prostor na otvorenom. Ovakav oblik izložbe povećava dostupnost kulturnog sadržaja široj publici, širit će kulturni doživljaj izvan zidova muzeja i poticati dodatni interes posjetitelja za daljnje istraživanje lokalne baštine.

The City of Korčula will once again join the Night of Fortresses – Night of Fortresses Goes Green initiative, which connects cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, and awareness of the importance of preserving fortification heritage. The program will take place in the historic Old Town of Korčula, where visitors will have the opportunity to explore the city’s rich defensive history through a variety of cultural and educational activities.
As part of the program, a video screening will be held in Revelin Tower, which will present the history of the city and its cultural traditions to visitors. The program will also include open days at several cultural venues, including the Korčula Town Museum, the town towers, and the Marco Polo Interpretation Centre, fostering education and awareness of the importance of heritage preservation while promoting sustainable use of existing cultural resources.
A thematic exhibition related to fortification heritage will be presented in the Town Museum, while photographs connected to the topic will be displayed on canvases throughout the streets of the Old Town, creating a unique open-air exhibition. This form of exhibition increases the accessibility of cultural content to a wider audience, extends the cultural experience beyond the museum walls, and may stimulate additional interest among visitors to further explore the local heritage.
