Scopri il Castello di Vieste attraverso una visita guidata che unisce storia, paesaggio e sostenibilità. Affacciato sul mare Adriatico, il castello rappresenta uno dei simboli più significativi dell’identità del territorio, testimone di secoli di trasformazioni dalle origini normanne fino agli interventi successivi che ne hanno ridefinito struttura e funzione.
Durante il percorso, i partecipanti saranno accompagnati alla scoperta del suo ruolo strategico nel sistema difensivo costiero e delle evoluzioni architettoniche che ne hanno segnato la storia, in un continuo dialogo tra esigenze militari, vita quotidiana e contesto territoriale.
Particolare attenzione sarà dedicata al tema della sostenibilità, evidenziando come la conservazione e la valorizzazione del patrimonio possano avvenire nel rispetto dell’ambiente e dell’autenticità dei luoghi. Dalle terrazze del castello, i panorami sull’Adriatico offrono uno spunto per riflettere sull’equilibrio tra costruito e paesaggio naturale.

Discover Vieste Castle through a guided tour that brings together history, landscape, and sustainability. Overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the castle stands as one of the most significant symbols of the local identity, bearing witness to centuries of transformation—from its Norman origins to later interventions that reshaped its structure and function.
Throughout the tour, participants will explore its strategic role within the coastal defense system, as well as the architectural evolutions that have marked its history, in a continuous dialogue between military needs, everyday life, and the surrounding territory.
Special attention will be given to sustainability, highlighting how heritage conservation and enhancement can be achieved while respecting both the environment and the authenticity of the site. From the castle’s terraces, panoramic views of the Adriatic offer a moment to reflect on the balance between built heritage and the natural landscape.
In line with the spirit of Night of Fortresses Goes Green, the tour promotes a conscious and responsible approach to cultural heritage, emphasizing the role of fortifications as living spaces of culture, community, and future.
