Visita nel borgo fortificato – Adriatico: il Mare dell’intimità | 16.30 – 18.30
Un percorso guidato alla scoperta del borgo fortificato di Vieste, tra vicoli, mura storiche e affacci sul mare, per leggere il rapporto profondo tra architettura, comunità e paesaggio. Il tour parte e si conclude a Marina Piccola, accompagnando i partecipanti in un’esperienza immersiva nel cuore della città storica.
L’itinerario riprende e amplia il racconto delle antiche mura, esplorando il borgo come sistema difensivo e spazio di vita, capace nel tempo di adattarsi e trasformarsi. Le strutture fortificate non vengono lette solo come elementi militari, ma come dispositivi urbani che hanno modellato relazioni, identità e quotidianità.
Il filo conduttore dell’esperienza è l’Adriatico, inteso come “mare dell’intimità”: non solo confine, ma spazio di connessione tra comunità, culture e sponde diverse. Guided Tour of the Fortified Village – Adriatic: The Sea of Intimacy | 16:30 – 18:30
A guided tour through the fortified village of Vieste, winding through narrow streets, historic walls, and sea views, to explore the deep relationship between architecture, community, and landscape. The tour starts and ends at Marina Piccola, offering participants an immersive experience in the heart of the historic town.
The itinerary expands on the story of the ancient walls, presenting the village as both a defensive system and a living space, shaped over time through adaptation and transformation. The fortifications are interpreted not only as military structures, but as urban elements that have shaped relationships, identity, and everyday life.
The guiding theme of the experience is the Adriatic Sea, understood as a “sea of intimacy”: not merely a boundary, but a space of connection between communities, cultures, and shores. The maritime landscape becomes an integral part of the narrative, inviting reflection on the relationship between people, place, and environment.
