Turistička zajednica Igrane i Učenička Zadruga Kanata Osnovne kole don Mihovila Pavlinovića u Podgori će se po prvi put ove godine pridružiti međunarodnoj manifestaciji Noć tvrđava 2026., s ciljem promocije i valorizacije fortifikacijske baštine Zalina kula te njezine integracije u suvremeni kulturni život mjesta Igrane. Program će se održati u Zalinoj kuli, jednom od najprepoznatljivijih simbola kulturno-povijesnog identiteta Igrana.
U petak, 8. svibnja u 11 sati će sama Zalina kula biti otvorena za sve posjetitelje što je jedinstvena prilika. U Zalinoj kuli će biti otvorena prigodna izložba „Zalina kula očima Kanatara“ koja kroz povijesne prikaze različitih faza gradnje, odjeljak posvećen vaterpolo klubu Zale, fotografije i likovna djela kao i malu turističku turu dostupnu na qr kodovima, prikazuje razvoj i značaj Zaline kule– od obrambene utvrde do mjesta kulturno-umjetničkih događanja u budućnosti. Ispred Zaline kule će Kanatari ponuditi majice i torbe s posebnim dizajnom pripremljenim od strane učenika PŠ Igrane u bliskoj suradnji s učiteljicom Lirijom Roso dok će se hotel TUI Igrane pridružiti manifestaciji zalogajčićima i pićem.

The Tourist Board of Igrane and the Student Cooperative Kanata of the Primary School “Don Mihovil Pavlinović” in Podgora will, for the first time this year, join the international event Night of Fortresses 2026, with the aim of promoting and enhancing the fortification heritage of Zalina Tower and integrating it into the contemporary cultural life of the village of Igrane. The program will take place in Zalina Tower, one of the most recognizable symbols of Igrane’s cultural and historical identity.
On Friday, May 8 at 11:00 AM, Zalina Tower itself will be open to all visitors—an exceptional opportunity. A special exhibition titled “Zalina Tower Through the Eyes of the Kanatari” will be presented inside the tower. Through historical displays of different construction phases, a section dedicated to the water polo club Zale, photographs, artworks, and a small tourist tour accessible via QR codes, the exhibition illustrates the development and significance of Zalina Tower—from a defensive structure to a future venue for cultural and artistic events.
In front of the tower, the Kanatari will offer T-shirts and bags featuring special designs created by the students of the Igrane branch school in close collaboration with their teacher Lirija Roso, while the TUI Hotel Igrane will join the event with snacks and drinks.
